Across Ireland, LAWPRO will provide support to community groups and local organisations hosting events celebrating World Wetlands Day 2026.
The theme this year is – “Wetlands and traditional knowledge: Celebrating cultural heritage”.
If your community group has a project in mind for this year’s celebration, our Small Grants and Events Scheme 2026 is now open. It can provide financial support for related to World Wetlands Day only. The application portal will close on 6th February.
- World Wetland Day applications should be less than €500, as per the guidelines.
You must contact your local Community Water Officer before making an application.
