What’s happening in the Wexford Harbour Catchment?
Community Information Meeting
Tuesday 26th April 7.30pm via Zoom
Working to improve water quality in the Wexford Harbour catchment.
Water quality in our rivers, lakes, estuaries, and coastal waters is affected by pollution from activities in agriculture, forestry, urban wastewater treatment, and urban surface run-off.
The Local Authority Water Programme (LAWPRO) is working with Wexford County Council and State agencies to identify and promote ways to protect and restore a healthy water environment, for the benefit of the local community, the economy, and a healthier environment. This approach builds on innovative science, combined with stakeholder and community participation, to develop an understanding of what’s happening in the Wexford Harbour Catchment and how issues can be addressed.
The Wexford Harbour catchment includes the Milltown, Rosslare, and White Gap streams and tributaries, from their sources near Curracloe and Tagoat out to Ardcavan and Woodtown.
This Community Information Meeting will be held online via Zoom and local people are encouraged to attend and be part of the conversation.
